Dante's Six Month Session {Bitterroot, MT Baby Photographer}

I had a wait a long time to meet Dante.

His mom contacted me when she was pregnant with him and I could tell she was excited to be a new mom. We kept in touch a few times in the following months before she decided to bring him to my studio for six month photos. 

The only problem? The day she wanted to come in -- his actual six month birthday -- was my 31st birthday. And I already had plans. 

Fortunately, Dante's mom didn't make me wait any longer to meet him (whew!). She brought him to my studio a few days later, and boy was he worth the wait.

Isn't he adorable. Thank you, Dante, for being such fun to take photos of!

Makai's Newborn Photos {Bitterroot, MT Newborn Photography}

Wow, I have some work to do to get caught up on the blog posting. I've been a bit absent from here lately, but not from shooting. So what brought be back to the blog? I couldn't RESIST sharing Makai's adorable session here. His momma contacted me about halfway through her pregnancy about taking photos of her son's birth. She wins the award for being most on top of it, that's for sure. We kept in touch throughout the remainder of her pregnancy, and about a week after Makai was born, she brought him to my studio.

This dude was little. My son was a super chunk at 8 lbs, 12 oz. Makai was tiny at just under 6 lbs. He was sooooo sweet!

I just love baby toes.

I'd been planning this set up for a while, so I was really looking forward to creating it when I found out this little boy was headed to my studio. But Makai was having a hard time getting comfortable in the Tonka truck, so I handed him to mom to feed and gave him a few minutes to settle down before we tried again. And he thanked me by not only getting cozy in the truck, but cracking this giant grin too! I absolutely love this photo and know I'm going to get a huge print of it for my studio walls.

Mom is a Packers fan, so we had to incorporate that in the shoot. Go Green Bay!
